If you got your ZOOM invitation and joined us for NTSC member Gilles Morel's talk on Canada Post's Autographed Hockey Sponsorships Stamps, you'd be glad you did.

As many know, Canada Post frequently sponsors hockey in its stamp programme. Gilles covered two different facets in tonight's presentation: 

1) The 2000 to 2005 All Stars series, featuring 36 Canadian players who participated in many NHL all-stars games throughout their careers. 

and

2) The Great Canadian Hockey Players series of the Original 6 teams, including the souvenir sheets of 2014 Defense, 2015 Goaltenders, 2016 Forwards and Defense and the 2017 Stanley Cup.

Each of these series included limited inserts of specially autographed stamps and souvenir sheets. Tonight's talk presented those often difficult to find stamps and souvenir sheets.

Since February 19 coincided with the Gold Medal game at the Cortina-Milano Olympics, this topic generated lots of interest from hockey fans philatelists, and cheers for our Canadian players.
