Noteworthy Events:

• Thursday June 9 @ 9:30 AM – Canada Post launched the new Vintage Travel Poster stamps. This was before the show’s official opening so purchases of tickets to attend the show on the CAPEX’22 website helped avoid the line-up at registration.

• Saturday June 11 @ 10 AM to Noon – the NTSC booked a society session room at the centre.

• 10:00 AM Michael Cortese and Charles Epting, the hosts of Conversations with Philatelists, spoke of their experiences at the NTSC session. (In-Person Live Event)

• 11:00 AM Graham Beck of Exploring Stamps and #Philately gave a well attended presentation on Adventures of an Xtreme Philatelist at the NTSC session. (In-Person Live Event)

• Saturday June 11 @ 6:30 PM – The CAPEX’22 Palmarès reception and dinner was held at the InterContinental Toronto Centre starting at 6:30 PM. This was a great opportunity to rub elbows with philatelists from around the world. Tickets were available on the CAPEX’22 website.

The North Toronto Stamp Club prepared a special CAPEX’22 souvenir that was available at our society session on Saturday – you needed to be there to see it!

Canada Post prepared a special souvenir postmark (above) for the NTSC at CAPEX’22. This postmark could only be applied to mail on June 9 to 12. Past-president Les Selby had the cancellation device every day of the exhibition, so members could have their own souvenir covers cancelled at the show.
