Champlain wasn't the first person to come to Canada from Europe.  He was not the last, either.  But his imprint on what became Canada, is by far the most important.  His approach to indigenous people, his alliances and his explorations established the foundation for this country.  

His philatelic imprint has been significantly less significant.  The presentation traced early French exploration in North America through stamps, and explored current fallacies created around this seminal early European to help ensure his legacy.
