As Applicable to our in-person ANNUAL EXHIBITIONS:
Exhibition Rules
1. Any collector who complies with the NTSC Exhibition Rules may enter an exhibit. There may be different “frame fees” for NTSC members and non-members.
2. The exhibits must be owned in their entirety by the exhibitor or exhibitors. Please note: According to the RPSC (Royal Philatelic Society of Canada) rules, those who can exhibit together:
a) Spouses,
b) Parent and child (but not in the Youth Class and only for North American shows, not valid internationally);
c) Two related or unrelated individuals residing at the same address.
At the NTSC Exhibition these rules will not be so strictly adhered to, but such an exhibit may not be accepted at regional or national shows.
3. The closing date for entries will be set by the Exhibiting Committee before each show, to allow enough time for the preparation of an exhibition program.
4. Exhibitors are expected to mount and dismount their own exhibits, delivering them to the place of exhibition (usually on the Friday night before the Exhibition opens). It is hoped that the exhibitors will also help with the setting up of exhibit frames, etc. Exhibitors who are unable to mount their own exhibits are required to make their own arrangements to ensure mounting and dismounting.
5. The entry fee will be set by the Exhibition Committee before each show. Payment arrangements will be made prior to the show. Members are encouraged to enter more than one exhibit.
6. Entries will be in an open class. Multi-frame exhibits will be competing for Large Gold, Gold, Large Vermeil, Vermeil, Large Silver, Silver, and Silver-Bronze medals and ribbons. Other categories will be awarded ribbons.
7. Every effort will be made to protect the exhibits. However, EACH MEMBER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS OR HER OWN INSURANCE AND THE NORTH TORONTO STAMP CLUB, ANY OF ITS MEMBERS OR ANYONE CONNECTED WITH THE EXHIBITION CANNOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO AN EXHIBIT (OR ANY PART THEREOF) REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE.
8. Judging will take place before noon on the Sunday of the show.
9. The signature on the entry form or the completion of the on-line entry form signifies complete understanding of the exhibition rules and the exhibitor's agreement to abide by them. If more than one exhibitor contributes to an exhibit, all their signatures should appear on the form although there should be only one address on the application form.
10. Exhibits may consist of a single frame (16 letter-sized pages), multiple frames, or a single page. Half-frame studies (up to 8 letter-sized pages) will be accepted and shown, but will not be judged.
11. For single-frame and multi-frame exhibits, a copy of your title page and a one page synopsis should accompany your entry form. These allow the judges to prepare to judge your exhibition properly before the show.
